Ibberson provided the technical and construction supervision, commissioning, and training for the electro-mechanical phase of this port terminal expansion project.
The expansion increased ship unloading capacities by 1,160 metric tons per hour (mtph). Concrete storage silos with a total capacity of 100,000 metric tons were constructed by an Egyptian contractor.

The new marine ship unloading and receiving system greatly increased the ability to unload ships faster and reduced demurrage for ships in waiting, particularly since this terminal is a transfer point for grain destined for the interior of Egypt.
