Ibberson provided the design, engineering and construction services for this 970,000-bushel slipform concrete elevator addition.
The elevator included eight large tanks with concrete hopper bottoms. The tanks stand 36-foot in diameter x 130-foot tall, holding 110,000 bushels each. Eight interstice tanks maximize opportunities for wheat segregation and blending.
The new 10,000 BPH Buhler drag conveyor takes wheat out to the new annex from the main headhouse. Tanks are empty onto another drag conveyor in an underground tunnel with air-operated gates for blending.
The conveyor brings grain to the new bucket elevator, which empties grain onto another drag conveyor for return to the headhouse and delivery to the flour mill’s dirty wheat bins.
