CLIENT
Amber Milling Company
NMD Ventures, a joint venture between Ibberson and TIC - The Industrial Company Wyoming, Inc., was formed to construct the flour mill portion of this project.
The eight-floor slipform concrete mill tower is 266’ x 75’ x 123’ tall. The site also includes a metal building warehouse, and a three-story metal office building.
Product storage bins are located inside the mill tower that allow for free-flowing granular material. Various finishes were used on the bins, depending on the product to be stored. All work floors are reinforced concrete, and pressure relief panels are located throughout the mill tower.
The mill has an output capacity of 21,000 cwt of hard wheat flour, semolina and durum flour daily. Semolina, made from durum wheat, is used to manufacture pasta.
The operation mills some 44,000 bushels of hard and durum wheat daily, or approximately 14 million bushels annually.
The concrete grain storage silos have a capacity of a million bushels. Approximately 22,000 cubic yards of concrete went into the construction.
