Ibberson completed a new design-build 5,000 CWT per day soft wheat flour mill. The new mill was built next to an existing grain elevator in Bucyrus, Ohio. The project was constructed in partnership with Buhler, but was contracted separately with Mennel.
The new slipformed flour mill is 98’ x 46’ x 74’ high with 14 bins. The loadout building attached to the mill is 16’ x 50’ x 24’ high. The building has a 3’ thick mat foundation and insulated exterior walls.
A great deal of coordination with Buhler and the client was required regarding equipment delivery and the progress schedule. The 11- month project schedule ran from August 2004 to July 2005.
