AgGrow Oils contracted T.E. Ibberson Company (Ibberson) to provide complete turnkey work for their multiple oilseed facility in Carrington, North Dakota. The facility is unique because it is the first plant designed to process crambe, but the size and capacity (200 tons per day) allow the plant to process multiple products including oil and meal from crambe, sunflower, safflower, canola and rapeseed.
Ibberson was awarded the contract for design-build services on the installation of a new soybean process dryer and transfer equipment.
Ibberson was selected by Cargill, Inc. as engineers and construction managers for this 1,200 ton-per-day vegetable oil extraction plant.
Ibberson completed a seed corn processing plant expansion for Dekalb Genetics in Illiopolis, Illinois, the second of two such expansions for Dekalb in the same year.

The project involved design and construction of a new flax seed processing facility. The new slipformed process tower is 62 ft. x 86 ft. x 70 ft. high with three new raw flax seed storage bins. The exterior walls of the process tower are insulated within the slipformed walls. A precast warehouse and office area were constructed and are 168 ft. x 256 ft. with precast truck receiving bay 26 ft. x 85 ft.
The world’s largest sunflower seed processing plant of its kind was built in Enderlin, North Dakota, for National Sun Industries, with Ibberson performing engineering and construction management services.

Teaming creative design with innovative methods was a key factor in Ibberson being awarded the soymeal and hulls storage and loadout system project for South Dakota Soybean Processors in Volga, South Dakota. The design is new in the industry – there are only four installations of this type in the USA and Canada.
