CLIENT
Dekalb Genetics
Ibberson completed a seed corn processing plant expansion for Dekalb Genetics by the fall to meet the year’s early harvest schedule.
Ibberson served as the owner’s representative on the project, overseeing and coordinating construction operations. This is the first of two seed corn processing expansion projects for Dekalb in the same year.
As the owner’s representative, Ibberson supervised all facets of construction including a new warehouse, the expansion of the existing warehouse and the addition of a new seed conditioning tower. The size of the husking and sorting facility was doubled. An additional 350,000 bushels of bulk storage was added as well as a new 18-bin single pass dryer and a new transfer conveyor system. Ibberson also supervised the on-site construction of a new 3,500 bushel-per-hour shelling facility, a new waste products loadout structure, a new employee welfare/break room and a new high voltage distribution system. Ibberson also oversaw the demolition of the existing structures, the addition of new roads and a drainage system.
