Poultry Feed Mill - Aurora, Mo.
CLIENT
Tyson Foods, Inc.
Tyson Foods contracted T. E. Ibberson Company to provide the complete turnkey work for their new poultry feed mill. The project included engineering, site development, foundations, equipment installation, slipform construction and the installation of ancillary buildings and liquid systems.
The mill includes fully automated batching at 140 TPH, pelleting in two lines at 100 TPH, rail receiving at 600 TPH, truck receiving at 350 TPH, grinding at 120 TPH, and loadout at 400 TPH.
The original contract included an 83-foot x 41-foot x 184-foot tall feed mill with an attached 90-foot x 100-foot warehouse with employee welfare rooms and offices, and three 28-foot diameter silos. As work progressed, Tyson awarded Ibberson a contract to add a 145-foot- tall, 44-foot diameter silo to the facility. The addition of this silo increased Aurora’s grain storage capacity to 10,441 tons.
The feed mill has 2,400 tons of finished feed storage in two loadout driveways, and 2,800 tons of ingredient storage. The two loadout driveways each have a multiple discharge conveyor and truck scale which eliminates the need to reposition trucks during loadout.
