General Purpose Feed Facility - Monterrey, Mexico
CLIENT
Purina S.A. de C.V.
Ibberson provided engineering, slifpform technical services, equipment procurement and construction management on a general-purpose feed facility.
The construction method used for this facility was slipform concrete. Ibberson hired all the local subcontractors and provided them with technical training and direction.
When the new mill became fully operational, the adjacent existing mill structure was demolished and new facilities were erected in its place, including a warehouse, office, laboratory, and employee welfare areas. The new site now showcases a concrete slipform feed mill tower 55 meters in height and metal warehouse and ancillary buildings.
Purina’s receiving system includes a truck and rail receiving with a hydraulic truck dumper. The batching and mixing system has 40 ingredient bins, 12 micro bins, a 4-metric-ton mixer, and incorporates Ibberson’s hybrid batching system. Ibberson also installed two pellet mills with crumbling, flaking, pellet coating, multiparticle blending; a new packaging system; automatic palletizing; and a lorry scale for bulk loadout were also installed.
