Ibberson was awarded the contract for the civil-structural design, construction and equipment installation of this 20,000 ton, state-of-the-art, environmentally friendly, multi-compartment bulk cement loadout silo located in Leeds, Alabama.
The silo has three concentric slipformed concrete walls that allows for the loadout of three different types of cement. The facility was constructed to load two trucks and one rail car simultaneously.
Lehigh Cement Company provided the material handling and loadout equipment from Germany and this was installed by T.E. Ibberson Company.
