Ibberson developed the mechanical design for the new premium ice cream plant and provided final construction management for the entire project. The 82,000-square- foot plant is located on a 42-acre site.
The owner required a complete redesign of the mechanical systems performed by others. Accordingly, the mechanical design was the last phase of the project to start and the first phase totally completed. Close cooperation with the owner and installation contractors was accomplished.
Our construction management responsibilities included having a construction manager on site full-time, administration of contracts on behalf of the client, contractor scheduling and coordination, construction inspection, punch list and contract close-outs, coordination with and between contractors and owners, and assistance with plant start-up.
